Over the past year and a half the company DuPont Performance Polymers has improved its portfolio of modern engineering polymers to help customers choose the right materials to address urgent problems in the electrical / electronics industry, the development of products that come into contact with food and fiber production. Today, DuPont announced the worldwide launch of four new advanced materials that allow customers to improve the quality and efficiency of its products through a combination of innovation, science and technology capabilities in the field of materials science, as well as extensive experience in application development.
The materials are designed to help customers accelerate the development of safe reliable components used in communications, power plants, in pipelines and equipment for the food industry.
"We know that the materials - a vital part of any new product. New materials should be developed in close cooperation with customers for optimal ratio of cost and performance, "- says the director of global technology company DuPont Performance Polymers David Glasscock.
According to him, the interaction with design engineers in the early stages of development and process engineers in solving practical problems provides valuable information that helps us to update our portfolio of advanced materials.
Polymers to replace thermoset plastics in products such as housings, electrical junction boxes, sockets and switches in the electrical and electronics industry:
NEW: the first halogen-free PET1 DuPont ™ Rynite®, FR533NH, combines the increased long-term resistance to thermal aging (index of relative temperature while maintaining the mechanical properties - 160 ° C in accordance with the certification requirements of UL746) and good electrical properties (CTI - 300V). The polymer also has excellent fire resistance performance, has been successfully tested a hot wire at a temperature of at least 775 ° C and characterized by UL 94 V0 at a thickness of 0.4 mm.
Halogen-free polyamide1 DuPont ™ Zytel® FR95G25V0NH PA has a high resistance to thermal aging ((index of relative temperature while maintaining the mechanical properties - 160 ° C in accordance with the certification requirements of UL746), industry-leading system Comparative tracking index (CTI) 600V, assessment the ability to quench the flame after ignition UL 94 V0 at a thickness of 0.4 mm, and excellent surface quality. The material provides increased performance as it has a high fluidity necessary for thin walled parts, and ensures exceptionally clean molding. It has the highest relative thermal index (RTI) in our portfolio of structural resins and polyamides in the entire market.
Production of materials in contact with food.
Materials DuPont, which can be used in contact with food, meet regulatory requirements and production needs of consumers:
NEW: polyamide with a long-chain monomer DuPont ™ Zytel® RS LCFG3060 based on derived from renewable raw materials PA610 polyamide and is used for the production of tubes for the distillation of liquids complies with all applicable US and EU standards, requirements for materials in contact with food products, and manufactured in accordance with the rules of the organization of production and quality control for contact with food components products. This polyamide has excellent chemical resistance and flexibility, the extruded smooth inner surface and can be easily co-extruded with high density polyethylene of low pressure with a bonding layer, for example, DuPont ™ Bynel®.
NEW: reinforced with 30% glass fiber and contains no bisphenol A a PET DuPont ™ Rynite® FG530 complies with all applicable US and EU standards, requirements for materials in contact with food, and manufactured in accordance with the rules of the organization of production and quality control. It is used in the manufacture of food packaging as a high frame sealing surface of containers for heating in the wind and microwave ovens.
Polyformaldehyde DuPont ™ Delrin® FG400MTD, detectable by a metal detector, and Polyformaldehyde Delrin® FG400XRD, detectable by X-rays, can be identified using conventional control systems and used in the manufacture of luggage locks, conveyor chains, industrial blades, etc.
Modern materials for the production of fiber optic cables
Polymers which are used in the construction of fiber optic cables:
NEW: DuPont ™ Hytrel® polymer is intended for the production of fiber optic cable constructions with free laying fiber in minitrubke that allows you to create sverhtonkostennye design provides easier installation due to the fact that the shell can be cleaned without tools.
FAQ: The company DuPont (NYSE: DD) enriches the market achievements of science and technology as a world-class innovative products, materials, and services since 1802. The Company believes that cooperation with customers, governments, NGOs and prominent scientists contributes to solving global problems such as the provision of a sufficient number of the world's population is good for health food, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and protecting life and the environment. Details on the company DuPont and its commitment to inclusive innovation presented on the official website www.dupont.ru
DuPont Performance Polymers division works with its customers around the world to develop new products, components and systems that help reduce dependence on fossil resources, protect people and the environment. With over forty production sites and research centers around the world, DuPont Performance Polymers uses its broadest portfolio of plastics, elastomers, polymers from renewable raw materials, polymeric fibers and preforms to offer cost-effective solutions to the aerospace, automotive, electrical and electronics industry, the production of goods consumer goods for sports and other areas of industrial production.
DuPont ™ Crastin® polybutylene terephthalate is used for fiber optic cable designs with laying the fibers free in the tube due to its excellent dimensional stability and mechanical properties such as flexural modulus and impact resistance at low temperature. In addition, Crastin® has low isotropic shrinkage, provides a low attenuation of signals over the life of the cable even when it is used in a wide range of temperatures.
Hytrel® TPC-ET protects against damage to the fiber optic cables with fiber dense shell due to its excellent impact resistance even at very low temperatures. The material can be used in flexible thin-walled constructions.
Among the characteristics of Hytrel®, are useful for these applications, it is possible to allocate a wide range of rigidity (hardness scale 32-82 Shore D) without plasticizers, excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance, very low brittleness temperature (up to -100 ° C), excellent flexibility, strength and fatigue resistance and widening cut.
